Olivia Geneus, from Boston, MA, is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Physical Chemistry and an Arthur A. Schomburg Fellow at State University of New York, Buffalo. Her doctoral research focuses on utilizing nanotechnology for biological applications. She is working on a nanomedicine theranostic agent that images and targets glioblastoma hypoxic tumors. She holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, and in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Olivia remains passionate in helping underrepresented high school and undergraduate students transition into their undergraduate and graduate academic careers. Olivia appreciates the outdoors and nature. In addition, she enjoys photography and fitness training.
